How to create a Google+ Brand Page from Google My Business, Google+, YouTube or a mobile device

Google+ Brand Pages represent brands, organizations, bands, YouTube channels, online-only businesses, and even people who want to be able to manage their identity from multiple accounts. The recent update of the Google My Business dashboard has changed the Google+ Brand Page creation process.

You can create a new Google+ Brand Page starting from several places on Google:

1. Start from Google My Business (business.google.com/manage/)
2. Start from Google+ (click the "Pages" option in the left menu plus.google.com/dashboard)
3. Start from yourYouTube All my channels page to create a channel and Page together (www.youtube.com/channel_switcher)
4. On mobile devices, use the Google My Business app

Or, you can jump right tobusiness.google.com/create/brand

Sign in at business.google.com
Make sure you are viewing the Brand Pages tab. If you are not, click the 3 line menu icon on top left to navigate to your Pages (business.google.com/manage/#/pages)
Click the+ button at lower right or select + Add a brand page from the left menu
Name the new Brand Page, accept the Page terms and complete the creation process

How to create a Google+ Brand Page starting at Google+
(detailed instructions)

Sign in to Google+ (plus.google.com)
Click Pages in the left menu (plus.google.com/dashboard), which redirects to the new Google My Business dashboard
Make sure you are viewing the Brand Pages tab. If you are not, click the 3 line menu icon on top left to navigate to your Pages (business.google.com/manage/#/pages)
Click the+ button at lower right or select + Add a brand page from the left menu
Name the new Brand Page, accept the Page terms and complete the creation process

This creates a new channel connected to a Brand Page

Sign in to YouTube
Click the channel icon at top right, then click View all for [email]
(Alternately click the gear icon , then See all my channels)
On All My Channels page(www.youtube.com/channel_switcher) click+ Create a new channel
Name the new Channel and Brand Page, accept the Page terms and complete the creation process

Install the official Google My Business app ( from the Google Play Store or from the App Store)
Sign in to the app with your Google account
Tap the 3 line menu icon at top left
Tap the Page name at the top of the menu to expand the list of managed Pages
At the bottom of the list of Pages, tap+ Create new Business
Select the Brand option
Name the new Brand Page, accept the Page terms and complete the creation process

Create a Google+ Brand Page at Google My Business

If you do not have a Google+ Profile and you don't want to create a YouTube channel, this is the place to start.

1. Sign in at business.google.com with your Google account username and password

If you do not yet have a Google account, or want to create a new Google account, click the blue Get on Google button

2. Make sure you are viewing the Brand Pages tab

If you only see the option to Add Locations, switch to your Brand Pages. Either click the Brand Pages tab (business.google.com/manage/#/pages) or click the 3 line menu icon on top left

In the left menu Click the Brand Pages option

If you do not yet have any Pages, you may see the option to create a Brand Page in the left menu instead - click that!

3. When you are the Brand Pages tab (business.google.com/manage/#/pages) click the + button at lower right

Alternatively, click the 3 line menu icon at top left and select+ Add a brand pagefrom the menu

4. Name the new Brand Page, accept the Page terms and complete the creation process

Enter the new Page's name. You can optionally also enter your website URL and select a Page type.

Note that there is no difference between the Page types, so it should not matter which you select (at least not at this time).

Create a Google+ Brand Page starting at Google+

If you are already a Google+ user, you can start the Brand Page creation process right from Google+

1. Sign in to Google+ (plus.google.com)

2. Click Pages in the left menu

2. Open your YouTube "All My Channels" page

Click your channel icon at top right, then click View all for [email]

Alternately, click the Settings gear icon at the top of the menu to open your Account Overview (www.youtube.com/account)

Then click See all my channels or create a new channel

Note: if you already have a Google+ Page for your brand, business, or organization, click the Page name to add a channel to the Page.

4. Create your new Channel + Google+ Brand Page

Enter the new Channel and Page's name. You can optionally select a Page + Channel Category (that does not make a difference in the type of channel you create).

Create a Google+ Brand Page on a mobile device

The only way to create a Google+ Page on a mobile device is to use the Google My Business app. The app also allows you to manage your Pages, add and remove managers, and see Page Insights.
